We had Evan blessed in church today and it was great to have our family and friends there. Jake gave a wonderful blessing to our sweet baby boy. The neat thing is that Jake was blessed exactly 34 years ago on November 27th and Evan wore Jake's blessing outfit and shoes and we used Jake's blessing blanket also. Ignore the baby legs (I thought Evan might be cold so stuck those on him). Jake's parents hosted a luncheon up at their house and there was lots of yummy food. Here are some pictures from today.

We spent Easter at my dad's house. Grandma Dianne put on a fun Easter Hunt with lots of fun prizes for the grandkids. I haven't posted in forever and I have so much to post about from last summer up until now, but I thought I would add these real quick to my blog to document Bayla's 2 year old photos. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful little girl as my daughter. She brings so much joy to our lives each day and cracks us up with her little sayings. She is so full of energy and doesn't stop for one minute to relax, it's a good thing she still sleeps 12 hours a night. She makes up cute little songs and sings - she is singing her ABC's right now next to me.

Hopefully when life slows down a little I'll get some fun things and pictures uploaded that we have done this past year. Until then ... here is my cutie girl that I love beyonds words!

To my mommy:
Thank you for being such a wonderful mother and friend and being so much fun! I feel like the luckiest girl to have been blessed to have you as a mother. I can only hope that Bayla will admire me the way I admire you when she grows up. Thank you for being such a great example to me and many others, especially when life is tough and it would be so easy to give up. Your strength and endurance amazes me and makes me feel like I can get through anything life hands me. I know that you are going straight to the celestial kingdom too! I love you so much mom and wish I got to see you more often but I am glad that we have a close relationship and I can call you whenever I need. Bayla and I are super excited to see you in 18 days! Happy Birthday Jake!

Jake turned 33 on Friday!! I took off the day from work and we had Jake's mom Michele babysit Bayla for a couple days and the weather was beautiful here in Utah. We got to sleep in, go to the driving range, eat out at Outback and Ruth Chris, hit up the mall, and just relax. Then Saturday night we met up in Layton to pick up Bayla and had dinner with the Brown's and Becky and her girls. Bayla just adores her cousins.

Crump Reunion 2010 - CALIFORNIA

In July we went to California for a family reunion on my mom's side. We stayed in Solvang at a timeshare with my mommy, stepdad, and sisters Brittany and Kathryn, Britt's kids Jared, Victoria, and Camille, and Kathryn's friend John. The town of Solvang is so cute or as Jake says "a woman's dream town and a man's nightmare" Ü It's the cutest little Danish town in the U.S. We had fun going to all the quaint shops and we even went on a little hike up to see a waterfall one day. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We went one day to Avila Beach - but it was so windy that we didn't stay very long, but Bayla had fun playing in the sand and cold water while we were there. We spent a lot of time in Santa Maria where my uncle Jim lives. They did a fun park day where we played games and the kids enjoyed the jump house. Bayla was thinking she was such a big girl in there with all the 2nd cousins. We had a fabulous BBQ of Tri-Tip and linguica sausage and yummy salads and dips and the works! One night we did pizza and karaoke. My sisters got me to go up with them and sing one song. It's a good thing I am comfortable with all my relatives because I don't SING. We got Jake to go up with my cousin's husband and sing Johnny Be Good. Jake has a good voice so I wasn't embarrassed for him like he was probably embarrassed for me. This post is a litte random. Just wanted to post some new pictures and give an update of what's been going on.

Bayla is obsessed with Elmo - she calls him MoMo and this whole time I have been thinking she's saying Momma. Ha ha. I see who is more fun than me Ü
May 1st we got pictures taken with Jake's siblings and families so we could surprise his mom with a nice photo of us all on Mother's Day. Thanks to Tyson with Legend Photography.
Jake's brother graduated last Saturday. Congrats Dave and Happy Birthday too! Dave and Hayley moved to Texas this week for the summer to do sales. Good luck and we'll MISS YOU!
It was my 2nd Mother's Day. We enjoyed our time up in Logan. Jake and Bayla got me a spa gift certificate (even though Jake probably needs it more than I do since he's Mr. Mom). Jake's Dad sent all of us girls flowers. Thanks Dan! He's out in PA building for a few months and we sure miss him. Michele made a yummy dinner and spoiled us as usual. The weather was beautiful and we played outside a lot that day.

Spring Hat Party 2010

The Brown's have started a new tradition (or at least I hope it is) where all the girls on the Brown side of the family get together and enjoy some good eats, treats, a craft, and lots of socializing. Grams of course had some fun games. You are required to wear a hat to the event (but we still let some in that didn't) Ü

Michele had decorated the tables so cute and prepared some delicious food and then Grams made her famous rolls and her amazing salad that I could have everyday. And yes I did go back for seconds on the salad. Kelly brought craft supplies and we made these adorable necklaces. I should have taken a picture of some. They were way easy and turned out way cute. Thanks Kelly for the fun craft. It was a lot of fun making them. Here are some pictures I did take of the day. Enjoy!!

Easter 2010

We spent Easter this year up at my dad's house. My sister Stephanie and her family were there also spending the holiday and then my sister Kathryn came down from BYU-Idaho and spent it with us too. We had a lot of fun just hanging out and watching conference and doing a little shopping. They had an Easter egg hunt for the older kids and lots of goodies. Bayla enjoyed playing with all of the eggs and eating jelly beans. My dad made a yummy meal like usual and we definitely enjoyed that. Bayla's 1st Birthday Party Updated

Bayla's 1st birthday party was so much FUN. It was so wonderful to have FAMILY here to CELEBRATE this special day for her. I honestly can't believe a year has gone by already. I am so HAPPY that we brought this beautiful GIRL into the world. She is seriously the light of my life!! She brings me so much joy and happiness (you do too Jake)!!! Bayla totally loved having all the attention at her party. We had a yummy lunch - didn't take pictures of it though. Probably a good thing or I would want to eat some of it right now. Grandma Michele made her delicious chicken salad croissant sandwiches that we love and we had lots of other snacks to enjoy ... OH and don't forget all the CUPCAKES.

THANK YOU to everyone that came and to EVERYONE that got her presents. YOU are all too GOOD to us.

Bayla is ONE today. I can't believe how fast this year went. What a joy it is to be her mommy! I absolutely love her so much and feel blessed that we have such a beautiful and funny girl. She makes me and Jake laugh so much with all the little things she does. She is almost walking ... she takes about 5 steps and then hurries and sits down. She gets this smile on her face like she knows she is pretty cool. She is still sleeping right now and I can't wait to spend the day with her. I took a vacation day from work so I could be home today with her. I wish I knew what a 1 year old would want to do on their birthday but Jake and I are going to do our best to make it really FUN!! Her real birthday party is on Saturday and I can't wait for FAMILY to be here to celebrate this cute little stinker. Here are some recent pictures of Bayla and us.

It's been awhile ...

Hi EVERYONE!
I am finally updating our blog. I have just been so busy it seems and we got a new camera for Christmas and I finally got the pictures downloaded and ... you know all those other excuses I have. I love and need to blog mainly because I don't keep a journal and am bad at keeping up with Bayla's baby book so it’s kind of my way of documenting stuff that happens in our crazy lives. I really want to be able to update it more often than I do, but I need a few extra hours in my day to fit that in with everything else. I’ll just keep trying!

Christmas was great. We spent it up at the Brown’s house. We had a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner up at Jake’s grandma’s house with all his relatives. She makes the best Prime Rib ever and I absolutely love the salad she makes. I could just eat that and be super happy. She sent me the recipe a couple years ago and I still have yet to make it. I think I am scared it won’t turn out as well – she is an amazing cook. We had a really relaxing weekend up there and had fun watching Bayla and her cousins play with all their new toys and have yelling contests with each other.

Bayla and I spent New Year’s at my dad’s in Idaho. We had a really fun time just hanging out and Grandpa Doug took Bayla to Toys R Us and let her pick out some toys for Christmas. It was relaxing as well and my dad fed me super great. Jake went on his annual dirt bike trip with his boyfriends down in Southern Utah that weekend and had a really great time.

January seemed super long but somehow time still flies even when it seems it’s dragging. I think I am just ready for spring and summer to get here. Even though it hasn’t been that bad of a winter down in SLC – I am still tired of it. I am happy it’s February! Probably one of my favorite months – and a busy one at that this year Ü We have Valentine’s Day, Jodee coming to visit, Aubree’s b-day, Brittany’s b-day, Kaden’s baptism, Liv’s b-day, Bayla’s 1^st b-day(yeah), mine and Brandon’s and Neil’s and Becky(college friend) all on the same day, and probably some other things I am forgetting. It’s a CRAZY FUN month!!

Bayla is now 11 ½ months old. She is one of the busiest babies in the world (REALLY) – always on the go and always getting into stuff. She is a great baby though. She has 3 of the 4 teeth on the top that came in and I think they are so stinking cute in her little mouth. She is not walking yet but getting closer every day. She loves to hold onto your fingers and have you walk with her. She loves looking through her books and knocking stuff down. She loves blowing on the leather couch and making silly noises. She sings E-I-E-I-O when we sing Old McDonald had a farm song. She loves other kids and watching them. Actually she’s just like her mom and loves people watching. Good thing she’s cute and people just smile back at her when she is staring at them. She hates pasta. She loves drinking water. She has sucking through a straw down pat. She laughs when I show her my tongue. She’s obsessed with dogs and will say dog dog(in her baby talk) when she sees one. She loves getting inside the fridge or freezer when we open it up. She is attached to her blankie now and if she sees it she has to have it. Good thing I ordered another one. Her original is getting pretty dingy.

The rundown of November:

Jake turned 32 on November 5th
Bayla turned 9 months on November 24th
We spent Thanksgiving with my family at my brother's house. Lots of YUMMY food!!!
Made my first craft in who knows how long - thanks to my sister Stephanie for helping Ü

Don't have much time to write, but I wanted to post some pictures and video. Bayla is now 8 months old and starting to crawl - Jake is in for a TREAT!! My grandpa Crump passed away on October 16th and we went to his funeral in Idaho on October 24th. It was so good to see all my relatives that I haven't seen in years. It is crazy to me how fast time goes. I know I say that all the time - but seriously - it's already almost NOVEMBER.

I haven't posted for a month. Where does the time go? September seemed to fly by for me. Bayla is 7 months now and is cuter than ever. She has said a few things ... ma ma and da da ... mostly da da ... I am trying not to be too jealous. I am sitting here watching her bounce in her bouncer and she is seriously such a good baby and I just love her so much. Jake and I are truly blessed to have such a sweet and fun daughter. Any way here are some pictures of what we have been up to over the last month.

Bayla 6 Months

Bayla is six months old today! I can't believe half a year has gone by since she was born. We got pictures taken on Saturday. I know I am biased but she's seriously so CUTE!! I didn't buy the CD at Kiddie Kandids but here are the pictures we got taken that you can kind of see. I just love her so much!!

Bayla is turning into a little girl right before our eyes. I know she's still just a baby, but she's just getting so smart. In the last couple days she is able to sit and play with her toys all by herself. I am such a proud momma. She likes razzing and blowing bubbles - she cracks me and Jake up. I am so thankful that I am her mother. I just LOVE her so much and she brings so much joy to my life. Motherhood is wonderful. Thank you Heavenly Father for giving me such a beautiful and fun GIRL!!! So this is just kind of a random post of Bayla and some fun stuff she has been doing this summer. She is so funny when she sleeps. I love watching her sleep. They are just so peaceful and precious ... well except when she is thrashing around. Bayla always smiles when you go in to get her in the morning or if she catches you peeking through the door at her. But once you pick her up out of the crib you better have a bottle ready or she kind of freaks out. She's been sleeping about 9-10 hours a night - so we're HAPPY!

We went up to Logan a couple weekends ago and I put her in her bathing suit. So stinking CUTE! Grandma Michele filled up the little pool and we put her in her Bumbo in it. She had lots of FUN!

Our pediatrician said to wait until she was almost 6 month before starting her on any foods, but said we could try rice cereal a couple weeks before if we really wanted to. And of course - any 1st time MOM is going to wanna try. She liked it at first it seemed and then was making these disgusting faces - like what are you putting in my mouth. Hopfeully once we get to give her Fruits and Veggies she'll enjoy it more. Check out the video too!

Bayla 5 Months

Bayla turned 5 months on 7.24.09

She is rolling all over the place. We never know what position she'll be in next when she is sleeping. It's pretty fun to go peek in and see her rolling around in her sleep. She also likes to pull on the tie on her bumper pad and we found her asleep holding on to it one day. See the picture at the bottom. Bayla also go to go to her first Bee's game. I can't believe how fast time is going by and how much she changes day to day. Here are some photos of her in her 5th month.

My sister Stephanie had her baby girl this morning. She weighed 7lbs 1oz and was 19.5 inches long. She is so cute! I can't wait to snuggle with that petite little baby.

Don't really have a lot to blog about just wanted to post a couple cute pictures and a video of Bayla. Bayla received a package from Grandma Brown with a cute purple polka dot dress. Bayla insisted on wearing it this Sunday so I had to take a couple shots of her in it. Bayla also got a jumperoo thingy last week and has been enjoying it so I took a video of her in it. She is getting so big so fast. She grabs everything she can get her hands on. We just love her so much and are so happy to be her parents.

OREGON 6.29.09 to 07.07.09

Bayla and I took a trip out to Oregon for a week to go to one of my best friend's wedding and visit family. It was Bayla's first time on a plane and she did pretty good. On the flight back she screamed for the 1st ten minutes ... everyone was glaring at me because it was 6am and she is LOUD since she has found her voice. She eventually fell asleep and it was peaceful the rest of the flight. Thank goodness!

My best friend Kylee got married on July 3rd in Grant Pass at the Summer House. It was a very beautiful wedding and Kylee was gorgeous ... but when isn't she? It was so fun to see all my girlfriends and their babies all week. I wish we all lived closer so we could hang out more often.

Bayla and I went over to Coquille to see my mom and Frank for the 4th and stayed a couple days there. It was so nice to be home with my mommy. My sister Brittany and her family came up also for the weekend. Bayla had a fun time with everyone. Brittany had a baby girl 13 days after I had Bayla. They named her Lauren Taylor. She is so stinking cute. They had her blessed at church on July 5th. She looked so cute!!

Bayla 4 Months

Bayla is 3 months now and is such a cutie pie! We went to my dad's house for Memorial Weekend and just relaxed and ate a lot of good food. Bayla got blessed today at church by Jake. It was a beautiful blessing and she is lucky to have such a great daddy who adores her. We had a lot of our family come down for it and it was so wonderful to have them all here on this special day for Bayla. I am so grateful for our families and their support they give us. We had a yummy luncheon afterwards ... thanks to everyone bringing lots of stuff. I am still stuffed - I ate way too much.

Bayla 2 Months

I can't believe my baby girl is 2 months already. She gets more fun every day. It's amazing how much they change so fast. She smiles all the time now. Jake is doing a great job being Mr. Mom with her. She loves her daddy very much and they enjoy their days with walks, swinging, books, baby einstein, and who knows what else :) She has been sleeping 8+ hours a night this whole week. Hopefully it sticks because it's AWESOME to actually sleep in longer blocks of time.

I just finished my 2nd week back at work. The first week I worked part time in the office and then the other part from home. This week was really busy so I ended up staying longer days to help my team out. Hopefully next week it will slow down a little and I can come home and spend more time with Bayla. It's been a little hard, but knowing Jake is with her makes it much easier. We are just grateful that I have a job with how bad the economy is.

Well I am off to bed. Just wanted to post a few pictures of Bayla at 2 months. Hope everyone is doing well.

Bayla is 5 weeks today! Wow how time flies by. She is getting so funny. She smiles at us a lot now. We enjoyed a nice weekend up in Logan visiting Jake's parents. Bayla got to hang out at Grandma and Grandpa Brown's house all weekend long. Bayla also got to meet Arlene and Scott from Arizona (Jake's aunt and uncle) and of course Uncle Dave and Aunt Hayley were around to hold and kiss her whenever they could. She is pretty lucky to have such a great family that adores her so much. Grandma Michele watched Bayla early in the mornings so Jake and I could get some sleep (THANK YOU) and she also babysat so we could go enjoy some yummy lunch with our friends Kaleb and Jennie and cute little Lily. Anyways, here are a few recent photos of our little squeaker. That is her new nickname because she squeaks little noises in her sleep all the time. So CUTE!!!

Bayla is 2 weeks old now and is such a sweet baby. I feel very blessed because so far she is such a good baby. She hardly ever cries and I have to wake her up for most of her feedings. She is very alert and strong when she is awake. She loves to sleep with the TV and lights on ... if it's too quiet she doesn't like it. She loves getting her hair washed by her daddy. She's here! She was born at 1:16am on February 24th. She weighed 8lbs 5oz and was almost 21 inches long. She has a ton of hair and seriously she is so cute ... and I am not just saying that because she's my baby ... she really is PERFECT. I am so happy to be her mother and Jake is such a good daddy to her. She loves when he holds her and talks to her. I had to have a C-section so that kind of was a bummer after being in labor for 14+ hours ... but we are just glad she's here and healthy. I am sore and swollen right now - but in due time I'll get back to normal ... at least that is what they are telling me :) Here are some pictures of her from Day 1 ... I'll get some more uploaded soon. I am off to SLEEP before the next feeding.

My mother-in-law Michele and my sister-in-laws Becky and Hayley threw me a fabulous baby shower on Saturday January 24th up in Logan. I have had 2 other baby showers also - my work and my ward threw one for me too. Let's just say this baby girl is already SPOILED ROTTEN. My friend Courtney flew in from Ft. Collins and my sister came from Vernal and my friend Amy came up from Spanish Fork. We all drove up together to Logan that afternoon for the party.

They had the place decorated so cute and had some yummy lunch and desserts.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE that was able to make this a special occasion for me. I feel so blessed to have such a great family and such wonderful friends.

Painting Baby's Room

So we finished painting the baby's room this weekend. Jake's parents came down the weekend before and helped us with the pink and white paint and then Jake and I took on the green stripes challenge this weekend. Painting is a big process - so thanks to Michele, Dan, and Jake for helping me out with it otherwise I'd probably be working on it for quite a few more weeks. I am happy with the end results. I know it kind of looks a little like a circus but I think once we get all the furniture and some stuff on the walls it will be really cute. I'll post some pictures once we get the rest of the room put together.

Pregnancy has been rough these past couple weeks and I am sure it will be until she is born. I am retaining lots of water and my feet and ankles are so swollen. I feel like my thighs and rearend have gotten a lot bigger lately too - we'll just say they are swollen as well. Helps me not be so depressed.

Anyways, just wanted to share some pictures of painting the baby's room. We are one step closer to getting this baby girl here.

I have been quite the slacker these days when it comes to blogging. These past 2 months have flown by and I can't believe it's almost 2009. So I am going to do a quick run down of events that have happened and include some pictures.

November 5th was Jake's 31st b-day. We enjoyed a nice STEAK dinner together that night and I got him some really cool NIKE shoes that he loves wearing around.

November 9th-17th we took a trip to Hawaii with my sister Stephanie and her hubby Enoch. I haven't been there since 2002 so it was nice to go back and experience the island life again. Stephanie and Jake had never been so it was fun showing them around. We stayed in a vacation rental that Enoch's brother manages right on the beach - so that was really awesome. We did all the touristy things and then just relaxed most of the time. See my sisters blog to see more of that vacation. She was the designated picture taker and was good about updating our trip there.

On Sat, November 22nd we moved into a house that we are now renting. The night before Jake got the flu and was up all night throwing up. It was awful. But thanks to his dad, mom, brother-in-law, and some wonderful friends we were able to get it all moved over. If you are reading this - THANK YOU so much for helping.

TURKEY DAY we headed up to my dad's house in Idaho and enjoyed way too much good food and the company of my siblings and their families. My dad is an awesome cook. We had prime rib, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, salads, cheese balls, on and on ... plus all the yummy desserts. Too bad I had a dr. appt that next Monday and gained like 8lbs in a month. Totally worth it though. We also stopped in Logan to spend Sat afternoon and Sunday with Jake's family. Always good times up there.

I am not sure where the month of December went, but it went FAST. I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of the month. I guess I have just been working a lot and unpacking the house and getting ready for the baby.

CHRISTMAS we spent up in Logan with Jake's family. We drove up Christmas Eve and went out to dinner with Jake's parents and just hung out with family that night. Christmas morning was so much fun. We enjoyed watching Jake's nieces open their presents and then had Jake's Cakes aka pancakes and bacon that morning. Later that night - Michele (Jake's mom) set up the fondue sets and we had way too much to eat. It was seriously so YUMMY and I wished I could have eaten more that night but the baby won't let me stuff as much down in my tummy these days as I'd like.

PREGNANCY is going good. I can't wait until she is born though. I am getting rather LARGE and uncomfortable. She is a very active child - especially at night when I am ready to call it a day. It's so amazing to feel this little person inside of me moving around. We are so excited for her arrival. The dr. said I am measuring further along so hopefully she'll come a little earlier :)

Anyways - I hope everyone has been doing well and enjoyed their Christmas Holiday and has the best New Years ever. I'll try to update again soon!!

Jodee was in town the first weekend in October so we met up with Amy and went to PF Chang's for some dinner. Jodee got to meet Gavin for the 1st time. It was fun to get together and catch up like old times. Jodee is also pregnant and she is due in December and she is having a girl too! The funny thing is that my belly is just about as big as hers and I am 2 months behind her. It will be fun (or depressing) to see how BIG I get by February.

I am trying to catch up on some blogging because I have been lazy lately.

Here are a couple pictures of when I went down to see Amy and her new baby boy Gavin. He's so stinking cute, but so are all of Amy's kids. If you want to see more pictures of the cutie you can go to Amy's blog (you'll see it under my Family and Friends link). I look horrible in this picture, but I blame it on the morning sickness.

I just went out with Amy and Gavin yesterday and we had some yummy Cafe Rio and did some shopping. I am so glad Amy lives in Utah because I don't have any close friends here so it's nice to have one around. Thanks Amy for being you and being such a great friend. I just LOVE you to death!

GIRL!

We just found out today that we are having a baby girl. We are so excited. It was amazing to go to the Ultrasound appt and see how she is developing. They said everything looks normal and good so that makes us happy. Jake is a little nervous because he knows with my shopping habits and with all the girl stuff out there - WE are in TROUBLE :) Anyways, just wanted to spread the good news.

Oregon Vacation Pictures

This is going to be a random post.

I just wanted to post some pictures from our summer vacation to Oregon.

The first set of pictures were from our visit to the REDWOODS (great big trees for those who don't know what the Redwoods are). We drove down to Northern California where the National Redwood Forest is and enjoyed hiking around and checking out these HUGE trees!!

We went to our family reunion in Grants Pass on June 21st - I didn't take many pictures there except for when everyone started really enjoying the CUPCAKES leftover from Britt's wedding. Sorry - kind of gross - but I thought it was funny Ü

Here are a couple pictures from our White Water Jetboat trip with Hellgate Excursions. I wanted to show Jake the Rogue River in Grants Pass so we took this fun little trip and then the next day we rented a raft and floated the river with my sister Steph and her friend Nancee. Fun times!!

Here are a couple shots from the resort in Depoe Bay that we stayed at on the Oregon Coast. It was absolutely gorgeous there.

Here is a picture of me with and one of my best friends KRISTIN. Jake and I went up to Portland and did some sight seeing and then had dinner with Kristin and stayed at her place that night. Thanks Kristin for your hospitality - it was very much appreciated.

The rest of the pictures are from 4th of July - we went over to Bandon beach to watch the firework show there. I was so sick that night - with pregnancy issues and a sinus infection - but it was still a lot of fun being with my CRAZY family.

WE'RE PREGNANT

Just wanted to announce that Jake and I are having a BABY. We are due February 23rd, 2009. We are really EXCITED to have an addition to our family. I am almost 3 MONTHS now and hoping the next 6 MONTHS will be easier. My 1st trimester has been pretty TOUGH - although I might just be a wimp. I didn't know "MORNING SICKNESS" lasted all day. I have been so SICK and TIRED, but I feel very BLESSED to be pregnant and expecting our 1st child. Anywhooooo, I'll keep you posted on how things go.

Brittany's Wedding - June 20, 2008

My sister Brittany got married June 20th to a great guy - Mark Christy. They had their wedding ceremony and reception in their back yard in Eagle Point, OR. We had fun getting everything cleaned up and ready for the big celebration. It turned out really cute and was a very nice evening. Brittany looked beautiful like usual. Congrats Brittany and Mark!! Take good care of each other!!

Anniversary #1 - June 22, 2008

Jake and I have been married for a year now. It has gone by pretty fast actually ... well at least for me. Jake might have his own opinion, but let's just pretend he agrees. I have loved being married to Jake. He has been such a great husband and friend to me. If any of you know him, you know that he is a goof ball the majority of the time and living with him 24-7 is hilarious. So Honey - thanks for being you and making me the happiest girl ever. I love you very much.

For our Anniversary - we spent the day and night in Ashland, OR. We stayed at a beautiful hotel called Ashland Plaza Inn. The bath tub was my favorite part. It was HUGE!! I need one installed in my apartment. We got a couple's massage and steam shower at the Blue Giraffe Spa. The massages were awesome - just what we needed to relax and enjoy our special day. Jake is in love with the steam shower. He didn't want to get out of it and swears someday when we're rich that he'll have one of those installed also. We'll add that to our wish list Ü

Jake got me a beautiful bracelet (with the help of his mother - thanks Michele). I got Jake a new motorcycle helmet. I think he liked it - I mean he wore the thing around most of the evening ... I was surprised he didn't sleep in it. Here are pictures of our 1st Anniversary gifts.

I have been slacking with blogging lately. Maybe it will be easier once we have kids - perhaps more exciting stuff to blog about - who knows! Jake and I aren't too interesting at the moment. Destiny and Nate's Wedding Weekend

One of my best friends - Destiny got married this past weekend to a wonderful guy Nate in the Medford Oregon Temple on May 3rd. It was so fun to go back to Grants Pass and be there for their special day. I flew out to Oregon on Wednesday night with the flu. It was horrible, but my loving husband booked me a hotel room so I wouldn't get my sister and her kids sick since I was supposed to stay with them that night. I felt much better the next day thank goodness. Grants Pass is so beautiful ... or I should say Oregon is. It's just so green! The weather was awesome that weekend too so that helped out.

Friday morning Jodee made me go running with her. It's the first time I ran since the 1/2 marathon. It was fun to run our old route we used to do years ago. I did lunges like I used to right after the run ... stupid ... I was so sore the next couple days. After our run ... Destiny, Jodee, Amy and I went to breakfast. Here's a couple shots from that yummy breakfast.

Jake flew out on Thursday night - so glad he came for it. It was a crazy trip but I think he had fun. He got to see an old mission buddy - Brian - so that was fun for him. Here's a picture of them at the temple having a good time :) Brian is married to Shalyse who was one of my college roommates. She was so fun to live with. Here's a picture of her with her new baby Lulu. So cute!!

The best part of going home and having weddings is you get to see so many people. Destiny and Nate's temple ceremony and reception was a lot of fun because it was like a reunion. Here are some shots from outside the temple.

Okay so I need to wrap up this post because it's taken me forever to do. I need to get better at this - you think it would be easy since I work in computers. I guess I need to do some research and get some creative stuff going on so it will be all cute and whatnot.

1/2 Marathon - WE DID IT!!!

On Saturday, April 19th - Jake, Debbie (my sister-in-law) and I ran the Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles). Jake and I did fine until about mile 10 and then we didn't know if we were going to be able to make it. But we pushed through and crossed the finish line at 2 hours and 30 minutes. It was a little less than that because it took us a few minutes to even get to the start line, but we weren't there for time ... we just wanted to finish the race. They said there were about 13,000 people that participated in all the events that day. I am just glad that it's over and so glad that Jake did it with me. Everyone is asking us to do it with them next year or to run some other event with them ... all I can say is don't ask us for at least a couple months :) Ha ha. Jake's parents and our sister-in-law Hayley from Logan were there to cheer us on and so was my sister Brittany and her fiance Mark from Oregon. Brittany and Mark were supposed to run the race, but Britt got sick about a month ago and couldn't train so they still came out and played with us. We introduced them to Rock Band and now they are addicted. It was so fun to get to see them.

Meeting Destiny's Man

Destiny and Nate (her fiance) came out for Scooter's wedding in February. It was so fun to get to see my friend Destiny and catch up. We grew up together in Grants Pass and went to college together and have just been there for each other over the years. She is getting married to Nate on May 3rd and I am so happy I got a chance to meet him before the big event. It's hard when someone you know so well is marrying someone you have never met. But I totally approve. Nate is a great guy and they just go together. Here are some pictures from that weekend.

Turkey Day

We spent Thanksgiving up at Jake's grandma's house. Jake's grandfather ... Grandpa Brown unfortunately passed away on November 6th. It was a sad time, but I am so glad I had the opportunity to get to know him for the time I did. He was an amazing man and left a wonderful legacy behind. Grandma Brown put on a fabulous Turkey dinner and Jake and I stuffed ourselves. His grandma always has fun games and it's just a good time visiting with all the other relatives. Later that night we drove out to my brother's house to see my dad and other family members that were there visiting. It was a lot of fun to just talk and then start taking ridiculous pictures of each other.

I was trying to have a serious picture with Jake for our first Thanksgiving being married - but these are how they turned out.

Jake's 30th Birthday

Jake turned 30 on November 5th ... finally catching up to me. I'll enjoy these few months when we're the same age. I had a birthday party for him at Red Robin and it was a blast. His family was there and tons of his friends came to celebrate. Good times!!

~Jake and I got married on June 22, 2007~

It was a beautiful day! It was hot - 100 degrees - doing pictures outside was very enjoyable if you know what I mean :) We had so much fun that day just celebrating our marriage and being able to have our families and close friends be a part of it. We got married at the SLC Temple and it was a really wonderful ceremony. Our wedding dinner and reception was up at the Point Restaurant in the Huntsman's Cancer Institute. Everything went pretty well - except the manager of the Point was a jerk at the end, but we'll just let that go. The whole day went by way too fast and there were so many people we wish we could have spent more time visiting, but I am sure they understand.
