On Saturday, April 19th - Jake, Debbie (my sister-in-law) and I ran the Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles). Jake and I did fine until about mile 10 and then we didn't know if we were going to be able to make it. But we pushed through and crossed the finish line at 2 hours and 30 minutes. It was a little less than that because it took us a few minutes to even get to the start line, but we weren't there for time ... we just wanted to finish the race. They said there were about 13,000 people that participated in all the events that day. I am just glad that it's over and so glad that Jake did it with me. Everyone is asking us to do it with them next year or to run some other event with them ... all I can say is don't ask us for at least a couple months :) Ha ha. Jake's parents and our sister-in-law Hayley from Logan were there to cheer us on and so was my sister Brittany and her fiance Mark from Oregon. Brittany and Mark were supposed to run the race, but Britt got sick about a month ago and couldn't train so they still came out and played with us. We introduced them to Rock Band and now they are addicted. It was so fun to get to see them.

Brooke-e! Congratulations to both of you, that is SO cool! My sisters ran it too, and my 13 year old nephew ran the WHOLE FREAKING MARATHON-crazy! I kinda want to try it next year, but i don't really like running so may not be such a good idea. I'd probably find some nice house along the way and camp out there! HA :-) I can't wait to see you in only 2 weeks!!!! YEAH :-)
and Brittany is DARLING, I love that girl! tell her hi for me! :-)
